Sliding doors in our homes have been a very popular solution for many years. Owners of small apartments especially appreciate them; every square meter is precious there. If we have the opportunity to save space and use it in another way, why not take advantage of it? Traditionally, a sliding door takes up 1 to 2 m2 of space. With a 40-square-meter apartment, when we have such pairs of doors, we have as many as 15% m2 of entire apartment space!
Another advantage of sliding systems is the ability to move without colliding. This feature is particularly appreciated in construction projects with tight communication routes. Imagine a narrow hallway with doors on both sides that slam shut when opened. Doors that open parallel to the wall eliminate this problem.
Marka Gustavson has many solutions in its product portfolio, including systems for sliding doors, the filling of which is made of wood. Here they are:

Aero

An aluminum surface system used to build sliding doors that move as if „in the air”. This effect is achieved thanks to a special milling on the back of the sash. The running gear is cleverly hidden. We only see part of the rail that has been attached to the wall. Aero allows the surface of the door sash to remain uncovered by technical elements. The system is available in natural or black color.

Stanlux SLX

A system for transitional doors in a minimalist style. Elegant, simple design, delicate lines and reinforced profile construction make it a popular solution in interiors. Thanks to the use of a spacer profile, the doors can be slightly pushed away from the wall, leaving space for, for example, electrical outlets or under-floor panels. The Stanlux SLX comes with a mask that can be used to cover the entire running system. It is available in natural aluminum, white or black matte finish. The use of a self-closing device improves safety of use, while choosing a bottom guide mounted to the wall avoids interference with the floor.

Estima

An exceptionally durable system for sliding doors without a frame. The doors open parallel to the wall, sliding into a special, invisible pocket. Thanks to the Estima system, we achieve maximum use of space and the effect of the cassette merging with the wall. The system has the ability to disassemble the rail, which can be removed without interfering with the wall – a feature particularly desirable, for example, during maintenance.

Stark

A cassette for sliding doors with a visible exposed frame. The multi-bent steel construction ensures greater rigidity of the system. We can install non-hinged doors with a width of 60 cm to 100 cm in the system. The SLX fittings – the core of the system – are equipped with an elastic joint and curved castors with independent sliding bearings. The self-closing mechanism that can be installed provides convenience for everyday use.
